Your Thanksgiving countdown printable is here! If you’ve been looking for a Thanksgiving countdown calendar, you are in the right place!
Just as Halloween comes to a close, and everyone is still in the middle of a candy induced sugar daze, thoughts of Thanksgiving begin to grow! Halloween has some build up time as it doesn’t have a big holiday too far before it, but Thanksgiving can almost seem rushed with it coming up so soon after the widely celebrated Halloween.
Do you ever feel rushed in that precious space between Halloween and Thanksgiving?!
It can almost seem like a pause between two breaths; the time goes so fast!
I’m so excited to present you with this free Thanksgiving countdown printable to help you count down the precious days leading up to Thanksgiving, and perhaps to help you make them last!
Thanksgiving, we are going to be ready for you this year!
Thanksgiving Countdown Printable To Count Down The Days To Thanksgiving
To get us in the Thanksgiving spirit, here are some quick, fun facts about this great American holiday!
- The first Thanksgiving lasted three days and did not include turkey!
- 1920 was when the first NFL games were played on Thanksgiving!
- Thanksgiving officially became a holiday on the fourth Thursday of November in 1941!
- Cranberry sauce wasn’t invented until 50 years after the first Thanksgiving!
- The average amount of calories a person eats on Thanksgiving is an incredible 4,500!
Those are some surprising Thanksgiving facts, right?!
Now that we are all ready for Thanksgiving fun let’s check out that Thanksgiving Countdown!
FREE Thanksgiving Countdown Printable!
I designed this Thanksgiving countdown printable with lovely fall leaves, as you might imagine, could be outside your window on a crisp fall, Thanksgiving day!
The countdown goes from 30 to 1, so it’s a month-long countdown and lets you know how many days are left until Thanksgiving day!
Also, in case you start the countdown later than 30 days out, no problem, just mark those days right off and keep counting down!
Lastly, while it might seem obvious how to use this Thanksgiving countdown printable calendar, here are some other ideas in addition to marking off the days!
- You can write events, ideas, or appointments on or near various days!
- You can write one word under each leaf for what you are thankful for that day!
- You can write a new sentence of gratitude at the bottom of the printable each day if you put it in a frame with glass and use a dry erase marker (dry erase marker washes right off of glass super easily!)!
- You can circle each leaf as a type of habit tracker for the month! For instance, if you want to say a prayer of gratitude each night, you can circle each leaf every night after you say your nightly gratitude prayer! At the end of the month, when you see all your leaves circled, you’ll feel even more thankful!

Printable Tips for Playing Perfect’s Thanksgiving Countdown Printable!
Here are my top tips for making the most of my this free Thanksgiving countdown printable! 🙂
#1 When you do print, I suggest considering the printer, the ink, and the paper.
Your printed printable might look different than mine due to our different printers, ink, and paper.
Of course, the higher quality printer, ink, and paper, the higher quality of the final product.
Given all the modern advances in printing, though, there’s a good chance that no matter what you’re using to print, you’ll probably love the results.
Here’s the printer I use and LOVE!!! (it’s totally worth all those exclamation marks): The Wireless EcoTank All-in-One with Cartridge-Free Printing and Auto Doc Feeder
- I’m so crazy about this printer because it has cartridge-free printing (!) which means I am never messing with those ink cartridges AND the ink it uses lasts for sooooooooo long I feel like I will never run out!
- The printer came with ink that might last years (I’ll have to give an update when I run out, but so far, I think the ink is going to last a super long time!)!
- The ink (that is included) can print up to 14,000 pages black/11,200 color (that’s sooooooooo much!!) which is equivalent to about 30 ink cartridge sets!
Wow, I hope I make 11,000 pages of printables so I can put this awesome printer to the full test LOL!
As far as paper, I usually use whatever is a good deal: Here are paper deals on Amazon.
BUT I know a lot of people prefer and suggest to print their printables (especially wall art) on high-quality card stock: Here are some cardstock options.
Again, printing results vary, so use the printer, ink, and paper that will get you the results you want. 🙂
#2 Think about displaying your printable.
You could use a magnet to display the printable on your refrigerator!
You could use the printable for a binder cover or as a divider!
You could hang the printable on a vision board or corkboard!
*Personal Favorite* You could frame the printable and display it on your wall, desk, or counter.
- Here are some frames!
- Did you know you can write on glass with a dry erase marker, and it will easily wipe right off?! YES!
- So, you can pop the Thanksgiving countdown calendar right into your frame of choice, use a dry erase marker to mark off the days, and reuse the frame for another printable later! Here are some dry erase markers!
